Halloween
Happy Halloween weekend everyone. Well I know its been a little while but I have pictures!! Anyway, Ciana, Joe and I have been very busy. Joe was in school for just over a week renewing his ticket for first aid, Ciana and I have been to the island for a visit and, well you know, just life. We are very excited about the arrival of Ciana's first Halloween tomorrow and she will be going out as a baby bear. We, I think will be going out with the Parker family in their little neighborhood.
On the island we caught up with Grandma and Grandpa Tames as well as Great-Grandma Lockie. It's funny how much she seems to change from visit to visit considering its only been a month since we were last over. We also were able to see Lysa and her daughter Sydney, did some shopping downtown Victoria and chatted about their big move to the rock etc. The trip was too short but Ciana is still having major sleep issues when not at home. Next time should be longer.
Friday Ciana and I were on the road first to visit our friend Jen and her son Noah, here eating lunch which was great and then off to a quick chat downtown with Bea and her son Andrew, sorry I forgot my camera in the diaper bag. Anyway, I should be going, Ciana is napping on her Dad's chest on the couch and I have stuff to do. Enjoy your Halloween.

Happy Thanksgiving & all that...
Well we are way past Thanksgiving but I thought I would put out a late greeting anyway. We had a quiet weekend I guess, Friday night was spent with some friends, Cole made a ham and I think that was the climax. Ciana still is having problems making it through the night so if I sound sluggish its cause I am!! Anyway, she had her first meal (baby rice cereal) out of a bowl served with utensils! She loved the whole experience and couldn't get enough. She was trying to help herself when I wasn't paying close enough attention and her Dad was there to capture it all with the camera. We are moving slowly towards food, one thing at a time, but I think she will have an appetite like her parents! Take care & I promise my next entry will be more enthusiastic!!

Happy Birthday Grandma!
TGIF! Not that you would think that Friday makes a difference to me but it's nice to have the three of us home during the day, and for a long weekend no less. Tonight we have been invited to dinner with Cole and Jasmine and the kids, but have few plans for the rest of the weekend so far. Ciana is looking forward to ham with all the trimmings. She is becoming quite the talker, telling all sorts of stories. I noticed today while we were visiting at Monk's that she will reach for me if she is being held by someone else and wants to come back to her Momma. It makes me feel very loved and appreciated! Anyway, her Dad just walked in the door so I should sign off. Again, Happy Birthday to my Mom, I hope you have a wonderful evening and we can't wait to see you soon!

Whistler etc
Happy Monday everyone. Ciana is down for a nap so I thought I'd put in a pic or two from the weekend. It was very lo-key however we did manage to stave off boredom with a quick drive to Whister Saturday afternoon. And what better way to ensure that Ciana get 2 1/2 uninterrupted hours of sleep? Here are Joe and Ciana at the entrance to Whistler Village. If you haven't been there in a while you really aren't missing too much. It is a lot of Americans with their matching kids and over-caffinated spouses usually named Buffy or Carl gabbing with others of the same make-up outside Starbucks, disposable income falling out of their well lined designer jeans. The weather however was fantastic.
