Back to Work!?

I can't believe it but yes, a year is almost up and I am back to work tonight at Monk's. It has only been technically 11 months off but I figure I'll ease back into it slowly and while its still kind of slow so I can get ready for that crazy summer season on my own schedule. Ciana will be hanging out with her Dad tonight and I'm sure everything will be great buy I know I'm going to miss kissing her goodnight and seeing her sleep. Oh well, time marches on.

Hola! Posted by Picasa

Home but so busy

Hi Everyone, I know that you have probably been awaiting a post with lots of sun-soaked pictures and rest assured I will be doing a blog like the ones I did for Christmas and Halloween. I just haven't had time. Ciana is going through this stage right now that is perfectly normal but very time consuming, she can't hang out with anyone but her Mom and Dad so needless to say my time on the computer is virtually nil and setting up a new blog is pretty time consuming (but when I do have time I love the escape!) Anyway, I am dismayed that Joe and I returned from sun and 30 degrees everyday to find rain, rain and more rain especially since I hear it wasn't too bad weather wise while we were gone. Oh well, when we landed in Kelowna it was minus 17!! This is nothing I guess. Hope you are all well and as I said I hope to get some work done today because Ciana and I are rained in and I hope to have some time now that all the laundry is done and the fridge is once again full!

Waiting Patiently Posted by Picasa

Mexico!

Well the time has arrived and we are just packing the last few things before we hit the road. It seems like we've been talking about this trip for so long that I can't believe we are flying out tomorrow! I know that I will blink and we will be home again but you can't think that way. I promise to take lots of pictures and Joe is stopping on his way home to buy film for the movie camera for posterities sake, I am sure that Pookie will appreciate us showing home movies of her naked on the beach putting sand in her mouth when she brings home that first serious boyfriend. Ha Ha Ha. Anyway I seem to be leaving some pretty good weather behind so enjoy and I won't feel too bad for you all. Hasta Luego Senors y Senoritas!

Sunday Morning

The sun is finally shining!! Well it is Super Bowl Sunday so Ciana and I are off to Stanley Park for a big walk and to enjoy the sun. Seeing that it is boys day and we have no interest in kick-offs and half-times I am very excited that the weather is co-operating. It has been a busy weekend already, with a birthday party for Ross and Nat Longs' one-year old Dayton at 1pm yesterday and then a baby shower for me last night, Joe and Ciana hanging with Cole, Mr. Parker, Cole's sister Shannon and her two girls, Cole's three kids and the Dad-to-be Adam at Mr. Parker's house. Needless to say by the end of the night Ciana was absolutely wiped out and slept soundly in her crib til 8 this morning. She was as good as gold, enjoying all the toys she had never seen before at the Long's house, batting around balloons, and exploring everything with her hands and mouth. She was also good at the Parker's but increasingly clingy and didn't like it when Joe was out of sight. She's going to have to learn sooner or later, I'm dreading the days of daycare.
Well it is a short week here for us, as many of you know we are off to Puerto Vallarta Mexico on Friday morning and very much looking forward to it. It will be so exciting to see Ciana playing in the sand, making castles and swimming in the pool. There will be tonnes of photos I'm sure. I'm a little nervous about her sleeping patterns while we are away but I've been told that it is a top of the line resort we are staying at and our room will have a crib too. I'm hoping we'll tire her out so much in the day that she will crash at night.
I should be going, little Miss is napping and I'm going to take this opportunity to grab a bite and read the paper - oh the little things in life!
