Well tomorrow is the big day and here I am blogging! Oh well the house is 85% packed but Joe still has to take apart the beds, computer desk and the t.v./stereo, good times. There is a reason why moving is one of the most stressful events in a persons life. This time tomorrow I hope to have a glass of wine in one hand and Ciana moving towards sleep in her new room in the other. As you all know we won't have internet access at the new place for a little while but I still have access a couple times a week at the restaurant so I will try to be good but no pics until our internet is installed in the new place. Keep well everyone and I will take lots of pictures!!

Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
Good Afternoon, well I don't have much time to write but Ciana and I took advantage of the warm and sunny day and ventured downtown, first having lunch with her Dad and then a huge walk both in the city itself, and on the seawall. It was great but the only downside was that Ciana fell asleep at Joe's office and slept until we got back to the car- almost three hours!! Oh well, I guess she needed it. But it's dinnertime, gotto go.

Welcome to Spring!!
Hi Everyone, well spring is thankfully now upon us and not a moment too soon. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in the warmth with only a few errands to run for the new house and ourselves (new cellphones etc). Hope all is well with you and as most of you know we are moving at the end of the month so life is pretty chaotic but I will try to keep everyone posted because, and I even hate to type this out because it is even more real then, but we will be cut off from the internet for a little while... I know, IT REALLY SUCKS!! Oh well, as I said, it will only be a little while and we are on a waiting list but I guess its a new subdivision etc.
Anyway, Ciana is doing really well, she is sleeping through the night for the most part, enjoying her evenings with her dad while I'm at work and has two prominent new top teeth with another bud beginning to the right of those two. I can't believe she isn't complaining more but she does grip her little rubberized baby spoon tightly between them at dinner time. Here are some pics of her at the park last weekend.

Happy Birthday Cole Jr.
It was our friends Cole and Jasmine Parker's little boys first birthday on Tuesday so as you can see we all went to Crash Crawley's and had some cake, some gifts and a blast. He got tonnes of great loot and seemed to be in a bit of a daze, as was Ciana, but overall had a great time I think. The older kids loved the maze, the ball room and chasing each other around (although tears were shed when it came time to leave) and they have a room specially designed for toddlers 3 and under. This was great for Ciana and Cole, although there was a little boy there "with his annoying sister" who was a precocious seven, and kept saying "excuse me baby, coming through" and then proceed to bulldoze his way down the slide. Oh well, I'm sure in six years Ciana will be that precocious little girl just as I was twenty-some years ago!! You can see that she also investigated most of the balls by putting them in her mouth (I'm sure they sanitize each one nightly, right??) and tried her hand at climbing stairs and, as mentioned, the slide. Lots of fun. Her big day is fast approaching and I can hardly wait. Speaking of new developements, her top two teeth have arrived, literally at the same time, and she has begun standing on her own, albeit for very short bursts of time, but nonetheless...we are very proud.

So Much Going On!
Welcome to March everyone. Well, I guess we are already almost a week in but if it weren't for my new work schedule I wouldn't even know what day it is! Speaking of which, work is great, it feels so good three times a week to put makeup on for a job, chat with other adults in a work setting, and make my own money because as those out there that have been on maternity leave know, it is almost more trouble than its worth. Speaking of new changes, we are moving. Yup, that's right, moving out of ghetto Metrotown and into more of what I remember growing up, a cul-de-sac and normal neighbors that actually all have yards, pets and kids! We bought a house (technically Walter is the primary, thanks Wally!!) in Westwood Plateau, Coquitlam and while it will be a bit more of a drive to and from town for both Joe and I it is certainly worth it. We have got our routes planned out already and now we just need to clean, pack, organize and move... I say only.
The new house is great. It has a fenced yard with a spot for a bar-b-que and table and chairs. There is tonnes of storage space and a playroom for herself that will have nothing in it but toys!! So spoiled already. She will have her room down the hall from ours and I have already mentally mapped out what it will look like. Her poor Nonno (Joe's Dad) will no longer share a wall with her so he won't be awoken every third night to her whimpering in her sleep. We went to see the house yesterday (coincidentally my Mom and Dad were in town so they got a look too) and I had forgotten a lot of the details as the first time I had seen it it was the first of several that day and by the time we had decided to give it a second look they were all blurring together and I sat out the second day of househunting. The day was great as was the visit with Mom and Dad. It's funny how you don't realize how quickly Ciana grows until you see the surprise in someone's face that hasn't seen her in a while. Well, I will try to keep you posted about the developments. Ciao for now.
