Good afternoon. Well our little Ciana is now officially entered the world of toddlerhood. She is walking full time after about a month and a half of practising and she is very pleased with herself. My parents were over last weekend for a lovely visit and were thrilled with all her new talents. She is so fun these days, I swear all her stages are better than the last.
In the past week we registered Ciana in a Montessori daycare/preschool program (kids start at 2 1/2 and attend until they are ready for first grade) which will be great for her. It was a really bright and happy environment with lots of art and music encorporated into the daily schedule, not to mention yoga!! She doesn't start until next September however so I am still on the lookout for a part-time program in the meantime. We also attended a free introduction Gymboree class Wednesday morning. It was pretty fun except it felt like a 45 minute commercial complete with a jingle and a mascot! I think if you were rich and had tonnes of free time that it could be a good way to meet other really rich bored moms but I'm afraid these are not my problems!! Ciana seemed to really enjoy the full wall of mirrors and all the bean bags and she certainly isn't going to have an issue with shyness, she happily walked up and introduced herself to everyone she saw. So we are on the lookout for something along the same lines but not so corporate.
This weekend was very busy- we had a couple of people over Friday night for a bar-b-que (We are getting much use out of Joe's b-day present), Saturday Joe worked for a few hours and we just tidied up and vegged out for the afternoon, then went to our friend Adam's 30th b-day party. We took Ciana which was lots of fun as many of Joe's friends haven't seen her for months. Sunday was the office manager from Monk's baby shower which was also lots of fun. As soon as I got there everyone was asking where Ciana was, I felt kind of guilty sneaking out without her, but in my defence she needed a nap!
Well I'm sure you're all getting bored with our day-to-day stuff so I will sign off til next time. Take care all.
