Long time...
To those of you who still check in Thanks!! I know its been a long time and for that I'm sorry but you know, life's busy! Anyway, here are some pictures of the family to entertain, unfortunately they are in reverse order from when they actually occured but hey, what are you gonna do? Just scroll down to the bottom of the new pics and you will see what I'm writing about.
Beginning with the beginning are pictures of everyone last weekend at Armando's brother Frank and sister-in-law Misty's house. Ciana and I were in the pool, it was hard to keep her out, and we visited with Arm, Cole, Chris and Denise and the Troisi family. Lots of fun. The following day we made a whirlwind trip to Victoria to wish Joe's Grandma a very happy 92nd birthday with Bonnie and Dieter, it was lovely to surprise her with lunch and tiramisu but much too short of a visit. Then Monday was a quiet day at home and the rest of the week was a blur, back to work.
Next are a few shots from Joe's work, most of the guys on his site are Italian, including the superintendant, so Joe climbed the tower crane high above the city and took these pretty spectacular pictures as well as hung a huge flag. He was regretting not having the flag Sunday however once Italy won to put on our front door, (I think its just fine where it is!!).
As you can see this weekend we threw a little bar-b-que for our friend Sheryl and her new babe Kayla who is just 3 months old and slept for a good portion of the days events but was adorable nonetheless. They are in from Australia for a visit and we thought we'd take the opportunity to get everyone together at once and I think a good time was had by all, I know we ate tonnes and some of us threw the football and frisbee around and us women talked all things baby (for a change) and there are no incriminating photos!
Then Sunday was the big clean up followed by the big game (World cup Football for all of you without a tv). It was a nailbighter to say the least but with England out I had to get on the Italian band wagon and was glad I did. I think everyone was Italian for the day on Sunday. We made a very noisy trip to Commercial Drive and Ciana thought it was all very amusing, although confusing. We only subjected ourselves to the revelry for an hour or so then made our way home again.
Now its Tuesday and we are both back to work but only until Thursday because then we are all off to the Shuswap for a little houseboating adventure. I told you, life is busy!! Hope you are all well and I promise to take lots of sunscreen and pictures while away. Ciao for now.
